Our journey began in 2021, when owner Bobbie Walker envisioned a place where family, farming, and community could come together through wine and shared experiences. Over the next two and a half years, the path forward was anything but simple. From navigating the complexities of zoning and permitting to ensuring that every element of our project aligned with long-term agricultural stewardship, every milestone came with lessons in patience and persistence.
That dream took root with our groundbreaking ceremony in December 2023, marking the first step in what would become a multi-year effort to expand the vineyard and build a destination that celebrates Florida agriculture in a whole new way.
Then came early 2024, when — after an unprecedented 90 consecutive days of rain — we were finally able to pour our foundation.
That moment symbolized far more than construction progress; it represented resilience, determination, and the unwavering belief that great things are worth the wait.
Today, The Winery at Tuscan Rose Vineyards stands as a testament to what can be achieved through dedication, community support, and love for the land. More than just a place to enjoy handcrafted wines, it represents our commitment to preserving local farming traditions for future generations while showcasing what agritourism can truly be in Nassau County.
Receiving this award is both humbling and inspiring. It acknowledges not only the hard work behind our growth, but the strength of the community that has supported us every step of the way.
